Women Wednesday: Gerty Theresa Cori

This week we’re honouring the first woman to win a Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine, Gerty Theresa Cori. The prize, awarded in 1947, was for the discovery of the cyclic process that describes how cells take food and convert it into energy. Congratulations Gerty!
